ABI releases biennial conference details

08 Apr 2009

Bookings are now open for the Association of British Insurers (ABI) biennial conference, scheduled for June 9th.

Exhibition stands are due to be set up on this date at the Grange St Paul''s Hotel in London, where the event will focus on the market environment and health of the industry.

Today''s Challenges, Tomorrow''s Opportunities is aimed at helping the insurance sector identify how it can provide customers with better service, as well as looking at the potential opportunities forthcoming.

Keynote speakers include Conservative party MP and shadow chancellor George Osbourne, who will be taking questions. Lord Adair Turner is also confirmed and will be discussing his views on insurance sector regulation.

The price for members is £300 per delegate, while non-members will be charged £500.

In recent days, the ABI commented on some of the announcements made by the G20 committee.

It said "sensible measures" must follow the promise of effective financial institutions and an open world economy.ADNFCR-2085-ID-19114321-ADNFCR
