AIC issues director conference details

The Association of Investment Companies (AIC) has issued further details on its conference for directors, which is due to take place on April 21st at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
It explains the conference begins at 09:00 BST and Lord Myners, the financial services secretary, will give a keynote speech at 09:15, after a formal welcome to the event from chairman Carol Ferguson.
A number of talks will be given by industry figures during the day, including one on a buyer''s perspective of investment companies by Andrew Bell, head of research for Rensburg Sheppards Inestment Management.
Deputy director general of the AIC Ian Sayers and the association''s public affairs director Guy Rainbird will also be on hand to discuss technical and public affairs issues.
The event will conclude just after 13:00 BST, when a buffet lunch will be served.
AIC was established in 1932 and changed its name from the Association of Investment Trust Companies in 2006.
