30 Apr 2009
Gardeners all over the UK are preparing for
exhibition stands and gardens to be set up at BBC Gardeners'' World Live.
The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham will welcome the event between June 10th and 14th - which will also include a brand new show called A Taste of Greenacre.
Presenters of the television programme will bring aspects of the new Greenacre garden - which was recently unveiled on the BBC Two programme - to the show.
This will recreate some of the work they will be undertaking on the real garden and all four of them - Toby Buckland, Carol Klein, Joe Swift and Alys Fowler - will be there.
Toby will be showing more of his 30-minute fixes, Carol will be teaching novices about getting green-fingered, Joe will highlight some of the basic principles of garden design, while Alys will be looking at recession-busting gardening.
Also at the event will be 25 show gardens, the Gardeners'' World Magazine Celebrity Theatre, a RHS Floral Marquee with over 100 different specialist nurseries and a Grow Your Own Area with its own stage and advice on producing your own fruit, vegetables and herbs.
This month, the NEC has already hosted the National Engineering & Construction Recruitment exhibition, the Antiques for Everyone event and Beauty UK.
Also scheduled to take place at the NEC later this year is the National Wedding Show - which is scheduled to showcase a whole host of nuptial ideas between October 9th and 11th.
