BT Convention Centre to host Lib Dem conference

The BT Convention Centre in Liverpool is set to host the main autumn conference for the Liberal Democrat party in 2010, it has been announced.
It is likely that
exhibition stands, presentations and speeches are all being prepared for the event, which will take place between September 18th and 22nd.
More than 4,000 delegates will attend the conference, which has previously played host to prime minister Gordon Brown, who delivered a speech at 2008''s North West Regional Development Agency conference at the facility.
Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal Democrats, commented: "Following last year''s conference in Liverpool we were keen to return to this wonderful and vibrant city and are delighted to be working again with the excellent team at the BT Convention Centre."
The facility recently came second in the Best UK Conference Centre category at the Meeting & Incentive Travel awards, narrowly missing out on first place, which was scooped by the Scottish
Exhibition + Conference Centre.
