23 Feb 2009
The GSMA Mobile World Congress is over and the
exhibition stands are being cleared away, but today saw CooTek discuss its award for the best global mobile innovation.
It was recognised for TouchPal, which is a technology designed to help users of touchscreen handsets type accurately and quickly.
According to CooTek, phones with touchscreens can lead users to mis-spelled words, due to small buttons and lack of feedback.
In addition, the product is designed to identify wrongly-spelled words and predict the correct version, while also enabling the user the option to switch between languages seamlessly.
The GSMA
exhibition stands as one of the many big technology events in the mobile world that attracts global names and companies.
Those in attendance at the conference this year, which concluded last Thursday (February 19th) included Acer, Agilent, Parrot and Runcom.
Other companies taking home awards were mobile firms such as Nokia.
