Hadrian: Empire and Conflict exhibition stands ''proved popular''
20 Feb 2009
The
exhibition stands at the Hadrian: Empire and Conflict
exhibition at the British Museum helped the event "exceed all expectations", it has been asserted.
A total of 150,000 people were expected to attend the show, but a further 80,000 visitors made it one of the most successful showcases at the facility, tourism agency Hadrian''s Wall Country notes.
The number of enquiries to the firm''s information line rose by 40 per cent while the
exhibition was underway.
Additionally, the media coverage the
exhibition enjoyed had an equivalent advertising value of at least £1.5 million.
"In 2009, exhibitions, archaeology, guided walks and magical events such as the Living Frontier and the Winter Lighting Festival will deliver a wealth of experiences making your trip to Hadrians Wall Country unforgettable," the organisation explains.
Meanwhile, the Hadrian''s Wall Country Locally-Produced Trade Fair is set to take place next month, with a wide range of companies expected to exhibit their wares.
