National Boat Caravan & Outdoor Show begins today

The National Boat Caravan & Outdoor Show has kicked off today, with exhibition stands from many firms within the sector being used to show off their products and services.

Now in its 48th year, the event is taking place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

Last year''s event drew a total of 110,331 people (14,693 exhibitors and 95,638 visitors), according to audited data from ABC.

And with the 2009 show set to take place over six days - including half term - and five halls at the NEC, it is likely that it will prove more popular than ever.

Today marks Caravan Club Day at the show, where a wide range of celebrity members will be on hand, including Olympian Sally Gunnell, Ground Force''s Tommy Walsh and singer Cheryl Baker.

Exhibitors set to take part in this year''s show include Bates Wharf Marine Sales, Blue Rush Wetsuits and Cambrian Boat Centre.ADNFCR-2085-ID-19030717-ADNFCR
