The Renovation and Self Build Show will be held in Aberdeen this October, with exhibition stands showing visitors ways of realising their projects.

Organisers claim that last year''s exhibition was a success and the 2009 show will feature leading suppliers, expertise and advice covering all aspects of designing, costing and building.

The event takes place on October 24th and 25th at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) and has been arranged by Blue Current Events.

"If you''re looking to design and build your own home, add value to your existing property or are thinking about updating your living space, then this is the show for you," the exhibition website reads, pointing out that visitors can gain information and advice about planning permission, utility considerations and selecting a project manager or architect.

The show will include exhibition stand designs representing companies specialising in renewable energy technology as well as insulation professionals, masonry and joinery experts and home entertainment firms.

Advance tickets are available for attendees and the list of exhibitors for 2008 featured businesses ranging from A1 Waterbeds and Deeside Log Cabins to the Federation Of Master Builders and The HomeSeeker Magazine.

Exhibition stand contractors will also be working on the 2009 SPE Offshore Europe oil and gas conference at the AECC in Scotland, which is held every two years and offers delegates the opportunity to take part in debates, share knowledge and find out more about companies operating in the industry.

AECC is located adjacent to the A90 trunk road and close to road, rail, and air transport links, including Aberdeen International Airport.
