Display kits could be used in Marie Claire overhaul - Clip Ltd
30 Jul 2009
Women''s magazine Marie Claire is reported to be revamping its image with a new £1 million marketing campaign that may include
pop up displays.
The glossy title''s owner IPC Southbank is investing the cash as part of a revised look under new editor-in-chief Trish Halpin.
As part of the revamp, point of sale advertising will be created during 2009 and the campaign could make use of
display stands.
"We''ve taken a longer-term view for Marie Claire and supported our new editor by investing heavily in the development of this new editorial proposition," publishing director Richard Johnstone explained.
Research into the publication''s target readership following a dip in circulation has resulted in new sections relating to topics such as beauty, shopping and sex and relationships.
In related news, Brand Republic reported that London-based economics and current affairs magazine The Economist recently launched a campaign aimed at broadening its readership and increasing its circulation.
