24 Jul 2009
An event featuring approximately 1,000 years of astronomical history is currently underway at the London Science Museum, news which could interest producers of exhibition stands.
According to the Telegraph, moon drawings from 400 years ago and a number of early telescopes developed by Isaac Newton and Galileo are just a few of the items on display at the event - which will run until the end of next year.
Curator of astronomy and modern physics at the Science Museum Alison Boyle said some of the objects may never have been viewed by the general public before.
She stated: "Illustrated through object-rich displays and multimedia resources, this exhibition explores our endless fascination with astronomy throughout history."
Earlier this week, an event commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing was launched in Taiwan.
Posters, film screenings, lectures and books on the space mission are all available to view at the two-week fair.
