The annual Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition is being held between October 16th and 20th this year at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.
It is intended to provide enthusiasts and hobbyists with access to almost 1,000 models, along with trade stands, workshops and expert advice.
Those seeking
exhibition stand contractors may also be interested to note that the event is the second longest running of its kind for model engineers and is in its 32nd year.
Advance tickets for the show are currently on sale from organiser Meridienne Exhibitions and competitions and displays are open to all attendees, with a total of 16 classes such as rolling stock and locomotives.
Modellers are not charged to display their work and expert judges inspect the displays, awarding prizes where applicable.
Exhibitors that may have custom
modular exhibition stands at the show include Chester UK, EKP Supplies, Hemmingway Kits, Noggin End Metals, Station Road Steam, TEE Publishing, Transwave Converters and the Birmingham Society of Model Engineers.
"Railway enthusiasts see ''in the flesh'' models illustrating the history and development of the steam locomotive, in many cases models are of full-size locomotives that no longer exist," the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre website states.
Taking place at the same facility on Fosse Way near Leamington Spa on September 12th and 13th 2009, this year''s International N Gauge Show for railway modellers follows last year''s successful event organised by Meridienne Exhibitions and the N Gauge Team.
The 2008 show attracted more than 2,500 visitors and featured 26 layouts supported by 38 specialist suppliers.
