Festival features quilts from around the world - Clip Ltd

Exhibition stands displaying quilts from around the world alongside items from suppliers will be on show next month at the NEC in Birmingham.
A public event, the Festival of Quilts runs from August 20th to 23rd 2009 and has been held for six years, with specialist companies attending to sell patchwork and quilting equipment.
International artists and groups including Chunghie Lee, Yoshiko Jinzenji and the European Art Quilt Foundation will be taking part in white wall gallery exhibitions, while masterclasses, lectures and workshops have also been arranged.
Organised by Creative Exhibitions with support from the Quilters Guild of the British Isles, the last version of the event attracted 27,000 visitors and 250 exhibitors and this year''s incarnation is expected to feature more than 1,000 quilts.
In other exhibition news, John Warburton, project director of Yorkshire Fashion Week, recently revealed that Burberry creative director John Warburton gave the event "fantastic" feedback to the media.
