Pop up stands may help RBS target small businesses - Clip Ltd
31 Jul 2009
Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is planning to target small businesses in a new campaign that will highlight customers who have received credit.
Designed to promote attempts by the bank to improve finance to firms, the scheme will point out that 85 per cent of credit applications are now being approved.
The bank is 70 per cent owned by the public since a government bailout and is keen to emphasise the help that it is providing to smaller companies.
Featuring entrepreneurs who have received loans from the bank, the marketing campaign may employ
banner systems to get its message across.
A letter from RBS chief executive Stephen Hester will emphasise to firms that it is "open for business".
Founded in 1727, RBS Group has more than 40 million customers around the world, 25 million of whom are in the UK and owns brands such as RBS, Churchill, NatWest and Coutts.
