A wide array of companies set up exhibition stands for the new Business Travel Market event at the ExCeL centre in London earlier this month, an event that was given positive feedback from its founder and a number of delegates.
The symposium took place between June 17th and 18th and attracted a number of big names from the travel, business and hospitality sectors, including Visit London, Premier Inn, London City Airport, Eurostar, Accor Hospitality and Etihad Airways.
Alongside the main exhibition, a number of seminars and workshops took place, offering attendees the opportunity to discuss issues currently facing the sector with their peers and experts.
Topics broached included the impact of the 2012 London Olympic Games on the business travel sector and the recession''s effects on airlines and their operations.
Paul Robin, the founder of the show, said he was encouraged by the opinions he had received from the delegates while walking around at the event.
"The feedback has been good so far from the exhibitors, who are happy that the top buyers are turning up for their meeting," he explained.
"At a time when business is struggling and the travel industry is going through a tough time, it''s great to put people together at the right level," Mr Robin concluded.
British Airways'' head of UK and Ireland sales Richard Tams said that he had spoken to a number of different attendees and said that as far as he was concerned, the event was met with a "good response" from all involved.
