Communication management ''is vital'' - Clip Ltd

It is very important for firms to be able to control and manage the content of modern communications media, one sector commentator has asserted.

Doug Miles, UK managing director at AIIM Europe, made his points among the exhibition stands at the AIIM Roadshow event, which took place at Wembley Stadium on June 5th.

He explained that, in AIIM''s view, around 70 per cent of new media communications, such as Web 2.0, instant messages, blogs, wikis and Enterprise Web 2.0, are "not on the corporate radar".

As such, they could represent a security risk and a proper management system could be one way of rectifying this.

Mr Miles asked: "How confident are you that emails related to documenting commitments and obligations - so these are important emails - read by you and your staff are recorded, complete and retrievable?"
