DMG World Media ''looking for Ideal Home Show investor'' - Clip Ltd

DMG World, the media company that currently owns the EDF Ideal Home Show, is keen to sell the event, which sees a wide array of exhibition stands dedicated to property development set up by sector experts, to an organisation that will invest in it.

According to a spokesperson for the media organisation, the firm plans to sell the exhibition as a result of a change in strategy.

She explained that the firm was keen to place a stronger focus on business-to-business shows rather than those of a business-to-consumer nature.

The representative said that the company is in talks with a number of different parties but cannot reveal any further details due to the fact that negotiations are currently "in the very early stages".

Of the kind of buyer DMG World is looking for the spokesperson said: "We''re looking for someone who will continue to invest in the show and make sure they continue to produce an event which is serving a particular consumer interest."

The Ideal Home Show is set to take place in 2010 at Earls Court in London between March 20th and April 5th.
