Futuresource 2009 to discuss ''green economic growth'' - Clip Ltd

Exhibition stands and shell schemes dedicated to waste, recycling, resource management and other issues are due to be set up at London''s ExCeL venue later this month as part of the Futuresource 2009 symposium.

The event will be co-hosted by the Environmental Services Association and Chartered Institute of Wastes Management (CIWM).

Industry experts due to be present at the event include Nick Herbert, shadow secretary of state for environment, food and rural affairs, director of the Taxpayers Alliance Mark Wallace and Michael Warhurst from environmental body Friends of the Earth.

Commenting, CIWM chief executive Steve Lee said: "Over three days, we will be showcasing ideas and technology that will shape the future and create new jobs in the waste, recycling and resource management sector."

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the Duke of Edinburgh - who is an honorary fellow of the CIWM - is set to visit Futuresource 2009.
