Those firms which use
exhibition stands to display their products and services could be interested to hear plans by Sheffield United to build a new exhibition centre, it has been revealed.
In documents submitted by the Yorkshire football club, proposals for the creation of a new exhibition and conference centre in the city, as well as new corporate facilities, concourse and affordable housing, have been put forward.
Such plans form part of the club''s bid to develop its Bramall Lane ground to create more space for supporters, as the exhibition centre and other facilities will all be built on site.
"They will further enhance the nearby up-and-coming Sharrow and Lower Sheaf Valley areas, creating more employment opportunities for local people in an area where United are an integral part of the community," the club points out.
Now, an exhibition documenting the proposals is being held at Bramall Lane''s John Street stand.
Meanwhile, motorsport fans may be interested to hear that a number of vehicles used by Top Gear presenters are being exhibited at a new showcase at the National Motor Museum.
