AECC to host search and rescue exhibition in 2010

10 Mar 2009

Exhibition stands, working groups and keynote speeches are all likely to feature in a major international search and rescue conference and trade show which has been planned for the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) next year.

The Search and Rescue Conference and Exhibition 2010 will be held at the venue between April 19th and 22nd next year.

Managing director of the facility Brian Horsburgh said he is delighted the event - which was last held in the UK in 2008 - is headed to Scotland.

"This is great news for us at AECC and continues our long tradition of attracting major, international conferences and exhibitions to Aberdeen," he added.

Details regarding the exhibition are still being finalised, but the show is expected to follow a format similar to previous years and include networking opportunities and debates.

The AECC was opened in April 2003 by the Princess Royal after being redeveloped. It was originally built in 1985.ADNFCR-2085-ID-19066619-ADNFCR
