Barclays named AAC exhibition centre''s preferred banking partner

ACC Liverpool, which has played host to a wide range of exhibitions since it opened in January 2008 with the launch event for the city as Europe''s Capital of Culture, has named Barclays as its preferred banking partner.

Barclays Commercial Bank will also provide all banking-related services to the venue, which is home to the BT Convention Centre and 11,000 capacity Echo Arena.

Director of finance at ACC Liverpool Gerald Andrews states he is "delighted" to announce the appointment, which will include the installation of two new ATM machines on the site.

"Barclays is undertaking significant activity in Liverpool at the moment and we have been very impressed by their commitment to the city and ACC Liverpool," he added.

Meanwhile, Rikki Griffiths, commercial director at Barclays Commercial Bank in Liverpool, said that ACC Liverpool is an important asset for the city''s regional economy and that the financial services provider is "delighted" to provide new banking services at the facility.
