Best of Britain and Ireland, Travel Trade Forum ''provides exposure''
30 Mar 2009
The Best of Britain and Ireland, Travel Trade Forum allowed people in the sector to gain market exposure, it has been asserted.
Lindsey Ford, membership and office manager at the Tourism Society, one of the organisations that set up an
exhibition stand at the show, explained the event provided a chance to increase the number of people who are members of the body.
"It is exposure, [it provides us with a chance] to show people what the Tourism Society is and what we do," she added.
Meanwhile, Helen James, communications manager at UKinbound, said the conference provided businesses with the chance to engage in networking activities on a face-to-face basis and also share tips on how to weather the recession.
"Sharing best practices is really important," she remarked.
Other exhibitors at the event - which took place at the ExCeL centre between March 26th and 27th - included the Confederation of Passenger Transport, Destination UK and the Zoological Society of London.
