Countdown is on to IFE09

Exhibition stands are being set up, presentations being perfected and speeches tweaked for IFE09, the international food and drink event, which is due to take place in London in a couple of days.

Set to run at the ExCeL conference centre between Sunday March 15th and Wednesday March 18th, the show states it is the only event of its kind dedicated to innovation.

According to the organisers, the event provides international decision-makers with a forum to increase their competitive edge by networking and sourcing a wide array of consumer-focused products from across the globe.

Confirmed speakers include Peter Marks, chief executive of the Co-op, who will present a VIP address.

Meanwhile, more than 1,200 exhibitors have been confirmed for the event, including the polish ministry of agriculture and rural development, Schwartz for Chef, Real Organic Foods and Makro UK.
