Expert at UKinbound exhibition: Innovation is recession-proof
04 Mar 2009
Companies operating within the travel sector must be innovative in order to survive the recession, a speaker at the UKinbound
exhibition asserted.
Amid the
exhibition stands and delegates at the trade show, Barbara Cassani, chairman of Jury''s Inns, explained that the British travel sector is at the forefront of the tough economic conditions being faced by the nation at the moment.
She explained to the crowd that the deciding on a way to respond to the current market conditions will be a test for every company.
Ms Cassani, who spearheaded the London 2012 Olympic Games big, asked: "Do you have the metal, the determination, creativity, in fact the bravery to turn the current business environment into an opportunity?"
The expert said if companies try and do new things, they will be more likely to emerge from the recession in a stronger position than if they continue to implement traditional business techniques.
UKinbound took place at Manchester''s Ramada Piccadilly last month and provided delegates with a range of education seminars, entertainment and business networking opportunities.
