Passenger Terminal Expo ''examined the crunch''
26 Mar 2009
Among the
exhibition stands, presentations and keynote speeches at the 2009 Passenger Terminal Expo, the ongoing effects of the global credit crunch were examined this week.
Tony Robinson, chief executive officer of UKIP Media & Events explained there were fewer delegates at the event in comparison to 2008''s edition of the show, which took place at the ExCeL conference centre between March 24th and 26th.
He suggested this may have been a result of the current turbulence within the monetary markets.
Mr Robinson noted the event held a number of working groups that discussed some of the difficult issues the aviation sector has had to deal with as a result of the downturn, as well as some of the more positive aspects which have presented themselves due to the current climate.
He explained the
exhibition will be hosted by a conference centre in India next time it take place.
"Our expo will next be in India where something like 300 airports are planned to be built in the next 15 years or so," the expert concluded.
