Pfizer ''committed to medicine access''
19 Mar 2009
Pfizer is committed to providing people with the help they need to access medicines they require, it has been asserted.
Gary Pelletier is head of the company''s Helpful Answers division and makes his comments as the firm announces its expansion of the eligibility income levels for Together Rx Access.
A number of the world''s leading pharmaceutical companies are responsible for the creation of the Together RX Access card, which helps people gain immediate access to savings on prescription products at their local chemist.
"Pfizer and all of the member companies are enhancing this convenient, multi-company savings program to help address the urgent needs of Americans who require help taking care of their health," Mr Pelletier adds.
The new income levels now stand at $45,000 (£30,923) for a single person, $60,000 or a family of two and $75,000 for a three-person family.
A number of other changes have also been made for larger familial groups.
Earlier this year, Pfizer announced it is to merge with Wyeth.
