24 Mar 2009
The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) - which regularly plays host to
exhibition stands, conference displays and delegates - has announced one of its members of staff has obtained Projects in Controlled Environments (Prince) 2 certification.
Production manager Derek Chalmers has achieved the certification and as such will be able to provide QEIICC clients with a number of benefits, the venue explains.
Jonathan Byrne, commercial director at the venue, says it is looking to get more members of its staff accredited in this fashion in the future.
"Derek''s success in obtaining the highest level Prince 2 qualification so soon after gaining his Certified Technology Specialist qualification is an admirable achievement.
"He is an exemplary member of staff who inspires the team to offer our clients an exceptional service."
In recent months, QEIICC announced a partnership with Central Hall Westminster, which allows clients to make use of both facilities when they make a booking. As such, up to 2,100 delegates can now view
exhibition stands at the two venues.
