Takeda expands European marketing operations
30 Mar 2009
Takeda has announced the expansion of its marketing operations in Europe, which will see the firm work in Ireland and Spain.
Yasuchika Hasegawa, president of the firm, said the move contributes to one of the enterprise''s key management initiatives, which is the development of the company''s presence in every region of the globe to establish it as a world-class organisation.
Eric Bunn, chief executive officer of Takeda Pharmaceutical Europe, added he is pleased with the expansion of coverage in the two nations.
"We will actively introduce products from our portfolio into these two countries so that they will help many more patients suffering from a variety of diseases," he commented.
As well as in Spain and Ireland, the enterprise now has wholly-owned subsidiaries in France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the UK.
In recent weeks, the pharmaceutical firm established a presence in Canada with the creation of a new facility west of Toronto.
