The Main Event conference underway

Exhibition stands, presentations and seminars relating to the events industry will form part of the Main Event conference, which is underway at the Scottish
Exhibition and Conference Centre Glasgow (SECC).
Taking place between 09:30 and 17:30 GMT today, the show - which won a commendation for Best
Exhibition at the Scottish Event Awards in 2008 - will provide delegates with the chance to meet a range of experts in the event buying sector.
Exhibitors will also benefit, the symposium''s organisers explain.
"It will give you the time to showcase your business to both existing and potential clients, highlighting what you do, communicate the passion you have and demonstrate the work you have done," they state.
Confirmed exhibitors include Crowne Plaza, ENABLE Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian University, Hard Rock Cafe, Historic Scotland, Royal Highland Centre and the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
In recent days, the SECC was named Best UK Convention Centre by the readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine.
