Arsenal to host the Academic Venue Show
13 May 2009
Exhibitions stands have been set up at the Emirates Stadium today (May 13th) as part of the Academic Venue Show.
Organisers claim the home of Arsenal Football Club will welcome 50 exhibitors from 30 different towns and cities at the one-day event.
It is described as a "buzzing" exhibition that offers an exclusive experience for event organisers - putting them in direct contact with award-winning suppliers.
At the show, visitors can attend free seminars and watch top chefs from academic venues cooking up tasteful treats to eat.
There will also be an information presentation about academic venue facilities.
Exhibitors from venues in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Oxford, York and many more areas will be at the event.
Meanwhile, visitors to the Academic Venue Show can also take a discounted tour of the new stadium so they can explore the Emirates as well as get in touch with their peers and help their business.
The venue revealed Emirates Stadium was officially named the best venue for meetings and events in England in April when it was awarded Meet England''s Business Tourism Gold Award at a ceremony in Liverpool.
Arsenal head of marketing Angus Kinnear said: "Emirates Stadium Events has quickly established itself as a leading event venue not only in London but throughout the UK and Europe.
"This award recognises all the hard work the team here at Emirates Stadium have put into growing the hospitality and events side of the stadium business."
In October of last year, the venue hosted its first wedding fair with an exhibition organised by Guides for Brides.
