BCS annual exhibition takes place next month - Clip Ltd

The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) is set to hold its 87th annual conference and exhibition next month.

Described as the UK''s largest and leading cardiovascular event, the showcase will see more than 2,500 healthcare professionals visit the ExCeL venue in London between June 1st and 3rd.

Among the organisations due to set up exhibition stands at the showcase are Bayer Schering Pharma, Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Pharmaceutical and Sanofi Aventis, GlaxoSmithKline, Daiichi-Sankyo and Lilly.

Other events set to take part during the symposium include a British Heart Foundation fellows session and moderated poster activities.

Dr Iain Simpson, vice-president of education and research at the BCS, states that the event "is the most highly attended - and respected - cardiovascular event in the UK".

With a history dating back to 1922, the BCS states it has more than 1,600 ordinary members, including around 90 per cent of consultant cardiologists in the UK.
