BT Convention Centre hosts eco-friendly counterparts - Clip Ltd

The BT Convention Centre in Liverpool, which frequently plays host to a wide variety of exhibition stands and shell schemes, has welcomed a number of its counterparts to debate green issues.

Located on the historic Albert Docks, the venue provided a backdrop to the international event, which saw guests from Cape Town and Vancouver meet with general manager Jacquie Rogers to discuss facility development ideas.

Ms Rogers noted that the centre has established itself as one of the greenest venues in Europe, despite having only been open for around 12 months.

Indeed, it was recently nominated in the Sustainable Procurement and Environmental Leadership categories at the annual Northwest Business Environment Awards.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our stunning facility to colleagues from around the world who share our passion for developing venues that support sustainability targets," she added.

Ken Cretney, general manager of Vancouver Convention Centre, said he welcomed the opportunity to discuss best practice with his international counterparts.
