Exhibition stands in Edinburgh may be being beautified in preparation for Scottish Beauty 2009.
The event takes place on May 10th at the Royal Highland Centre and positions itself as the only professional beauty exhibition and training congress in Scotland.
According to organisers, it will feature an estimated 200 suppliers, brands and training providers - who will all be showing the latest products, treatment launches, innovations in equipment and training courses.
Visitors to the event will include salon owners and managers, while qualified beauty therapists, nail technicians and college buyers will be there along with final-year students and complementary therapy practitioners.
What is more, for all these people entry is free and everyone who visits will be entered into a free prize draw to a win a holiday at the Fortina Spa in Malta.
Scottish Beauty 2009 will host the annual Scottish Nail Technician of the Year competition. The contest offers technicians the chance to battle it out in Scotland''s only national nail competition.
Among other speakers, Emma Doherty of Jane Ireland Mineral Cosmetics will be presenting a seminar entitled Budget Beauty with Mineral Makeup.
According to organisers, guests at the seminar can: "Discover which makeup items clients should be spending money on - and which products can be multifunctional and save precious pounds."
Exhibitors in Edinburgh include Australian Body Care, Crystal Clear, Dermalogica, Glitter Bodyart, La Beeby, Nails Supreme, Pro Salon Supplies, Tweezerman and White Again Teeth.
The Royal Highland Centre provides a home to over 200 events every year and boasts a 110-acre showground.
