British Franchise Exhibition to hit Glasgow - Clip Ltd
27 May 2009
The Glasgow Royal Concert Halls will be filled with
exhibition stands dedicated to the world of franchises in June.
On June 5th, the Scottish Franchise Showcase will arrive at the venue to offer advice and tips on how people can become their own boss.
According to organisers, as a business model franchising allows people to be in control of their own operation, but have the support of an established brand.
Visitors can obtain genuine franchise advice as it is marketed as the only event in Scotland where exhibitors are all British Franchise Association-approved businesses.
Investments available range from £5,000 to over £1 million and representatives claim opportunities will be available from management consultancy to food and drink, health and fitness, cleaning companies and children''s activities.
Exhibitors lined up to appear at the occasion include Cartridge World, the Daily Mail, Fastsigns, Cash Generator and Safeclean.
"The diversity and breadth of these franchises will ensure that regardless of your interests, you are sure to find an opportunity to suit your needs," the representative adds.
According to the 2007 NatWest/British Franchise Association survey, the industry is worth over £10.8 billion a year and employs 371,600 people.
Commenting on a previous incarnation of the exhibition, Garth Allison, managing director of FastSigns, said it has "raised the bar".
"The marketing and organisation of the exhibition has been excellent and has clearly helped to attract many genuine prospects to the show," he added.
Clive Smith, managing director of 0800 HANDYMAN, was "very pleased" with both the quality and number of visitors.
Meanwhile, the sister National Franchise Exhibition will take place at the NEC Birmingham on October 2nd and 3rd.
