Exhibition Stands News
Eurogamer exhibition announced
07 May 2009
Exhibition stands dedicated to the world of gaming will be set up in October as the Eurogamer Expo returns to the UK.
Following the success of the 2008 exhibition, this year''s event will take place in both London and Leeds.
The London version will be held on October 30th and 31st at Old Billingsgate - which markets itself as the capital''s most flexible event space.
Meanwhile, the Leeds version will take place a few days earlier at The Royal Armouries between October 27th and 28th.
This whole event is sponsored by hmv, which is also the show''s official retail partner.
Last year''s occasion was a sell-out and organisers expect 2009 to be bigger and better - with Eurogamer forecasting a total of 14,000 gamers through the doors of the two venues.
Eurogamer''s managing director Rupert Loman said: "I think we struck a chord with gamers and the games industry last year.
"The formula was simple and we are sticking to it – great games to play, a great price for consumers and excellent value for exhibitors."
According to the show''s representatives, the exposition is about letting gamers get their hands on the best games - and to achieve this many top publishers have already signed up to exhibit their biggest upcoming titles that will be hitting the shops in time for the Christmas rush.
Meanwhile, the GamesIndustry.biz Career Fair - which purports to be the UK''s premier recruitment event for the games industry - will be taking place at the same time.
