Green IT ''remains on businesses'' agendas''

Environmentally-friendly IT considerations are still very much on businesses'' agendas, an industry expert has asserted.
Tracey Rawling Church, director of brand and reputation at Kyocera Mita, made her comments at the recent Green IT 09 conference and exhibition, which was attended by a wide range of firms.
Among the companies that set up
exhibition stands at the event - which took place between May 6th and 7th at the Business Design Centre in London - were Siemens, IBM, ComputerWorld UK and Dell.
She noted that while the ongoing effects of the global economic downturn have resulted in many firms refocusing their priorities, sustainability is still considered to be an important matter.
Ms Rawling Church noted that many firms are looking to save money be enhancing their green credentials.
"People have recognised that by taking a more sustainable approach to their office IT, in particular their printing and copying activities, they can actually save money," she remarked.
