Internet World director: Behavioural advertising is brilliant
05 May 2009
Behavioural advertising is "brilliant", according to the director of the Internet World exhibition, which took place in London in recent days.
James Drake-Brockman explained that he enjoys rock music and that if an advertising company informs him of a gig by a band he like then he would welcome it.
He says this would be the case as the advertisements would be relevant to his interests.
"I have no problem with that, that''s good advertising. That''s more effective advertising," Mr Drake-Brockman remarked.
He said that the example above would be far better than trying to sell him a classical music CD as he does not have an interest in the genre.
"I think it makes sense," the event organiser concluded.
Internet World took place at the Earls Court venue in the English capital between April 28th and 30th. A wide array of companies set up exhibition stands at the showcase, including silverPOP, Cash Ticket, DSNR media group and fortune cookie.
