Sandwich, Snack & Mobile Show kicks off
20 May 2009
Exhibitions stands dedicated to food on the go are now set up at the Sandwich, Snack & Mobile Show.
The two-day event opened its doors today (May 20th) at the Elsecar Heritage Centre in Barnsley and is said to be a must-visit occasion for the snack-selling industry.
This represents the second year in a row the event has visited Elsecar and it is marketed as a show which brings together national and regional exhibitors who cater for the food-to-go and snacking sector.
Organisers say: "If you sell sandwiches, snacks, drinks or any food that can be eaten on the go, this is the show for you."
The occasion is advertised nationally and 20,000 tickets have been mailed out for the affair across Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Cheshire, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.
"It is a regional show but with a national appeal," representatives add.
The Sandwich, Snack & Mobile Show claims this could be the last opportunity for businesses to find the latest new products before the summer.
It adds that the sector is showing increasing growth and visitors from delis, cafes, sandwich bars, coffee shops, takeaways, convenience stores, forecourt shops, mobile caterers and local fish and chip shops will be there.
Exhibitors include British Baker, Costco Wholesale, Fresh Island Foods, Highland Spring, Pukka pies, Stone Willy''s Pizza, Tasty Bake, The Wicked Cake Company and Walkers Crisps.
All visitors will be entered into a free prize draw when they hand their invitation in on entry - with gifts handed out on the hour, every hour.
Building 21 is the centre''s indoor exhibition hall and boasts 12,000 square feet of display space.
