The Southern Motorcaravan Show to roll into town
12 May 2009
Exhibition stands dedicated to the world of caravanning are being set up in preparation for The Southern Motorcaravan Show.
The show will be held at Newbury Showground in Thatcham between May 14th and May 17th and will see over 6,000 visitors arrive.
Having been in operation for almost three decades, the event attracts over 200 exhibitors and around 1,500 units will be camped on site.
According to organisers, the show provides the "perfect sales opportunity for both companies located in the south of England and for those who wish to forge links in this part of the country".
Representatives also claim the visitors can "enjoy an array of new and pre-owned motorhomes as well as the usual multitude of accessories and services" that can be expected at such an event.
Newbury Showground is situated on the M4 and A34 corridor - which makes the exhibitions easily accessible for visitors travelling from the Midlands and the south.
Running alongside The Southern Motorcaravan Show at the showground will be the Park and Holiday Homes Show.
The event offers an opportunity for visitors to talk to existing park and holiday home owners - while a whole host of entertainment will also be on offer.
Over 60 per cent of the show''s visitor''s are retired, so organisers claim it offers the ideal new sales opportunity for exhibitors.
Meanwhile, The Northern Motorcaravan Show will take place at Pickering Showground between July 17th and 19th.
Organisers claim it is the UK''s largest northern outdoor motorcaravan event and it was held for the first time at Pickering in 2008.
