Truckfest powers its way to Yorkshire
21 May 2009
Croft Circuit will host
exhibition stands dedicated to the world of trucking this month thanks to Truckfest North-East.
According to organisers, the exhibition has always attracted a host of stars - from Vinnie Jones to Patsy Kensit and Geordie duo Ant and Dec - and this year will be no different.
Katherine Kelly, who plays Becky Grainger in Coronation Street, will appear alongside Rick Yemm from Ice Road Truckers.
The Truckfest exhibition tours the country and representatives of the show say it represents a "unique opportunity" to promote a brand to over 300,000 visitors annually.
Organisers claim visitors will see "hundreds of the most highly-motivated operators and drivers with examples of the finest working trucks in the UK, all brought together to take part in the Truckfest awards."
There will also be lots of "larger than life" main arena action together with "the best the industry has to offer" with truck manufacturer and distributor stands and industry-related products on offer.
Truckfest purports to be the number one showcase in the UK for the road transport industry - and exhibitors come to show off new vehicles, product launches, fuel developments, trailer technology, trucking accessories and much more.
Recent exhibitors include the AA, Blue Arrow, DAF trucks, Goodyear Dunlop Tyre, Honda, Isuzu Truck, Mercedes-Benz, Michelin Tyre, Pertemps, Scania and Travis Perkins.
Meanwhile Truckfest South-West will hit the Royal Bath and West Showground between July 4th and 5th.
It is described as "one of the most picturesque" of the Truckfests exhibitions with its own "unmistakable west-country flavour and laid-back approach".
