Twitter to be "massive"

Twitter is "massive" and is likely to be so for quite some time, an industry expert has asserted.

James Drake-Brockman, show director of Internet World event, made his comments in recent days, explaining that this was not a new claim.

However, he noted that the Twitter Demystified panel debate at the event, which discussed the popular social networking tool, proved to be the most popular session the event has ever hosted.

"The whole social media thing is a massive trend," he concluded.

Famous faces who have Twitter accounts include Ashton Kutcher, Stephen Fry, Ryan Seacrest and Hugh Jackman.

Internet World, Europe''s longest-running event for digital marketing and online businesses, took place at Earls Court 2 in London between April 28th and saw a wide array of companies set up exhibition stands to show off their products and services.

These included Activedition, Bigmouthmedia, Communicator Corp, Direct Traffic Media and Eduserv Technologies.
