02 Mar 2010

The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) Annual Conference and Exhibition 2010 is being held at Manchester Central between June 7th and 9th.

Organised by the body, it is described as "the UK''s leading and largest cardiovascular event" and suppliers could employ a custom modular exhibition stand to enhance their displays.

More than 2,500 healthcare professionals are expected to attend the event over the three days.

Additionally, over 90 industry partners are due to take part in the expo, which will feature an extensive conference programme alongside exhibition stands, including Meet the Experts and How To sessions, appearances by expert speakers, networking events, lectures, meetings and poster sessions.

"The exhibition is a crucial component to the success of our annual event, enabling consultant cardiologists, trainee cardiologists, physicians, scientists, physiologists and nurses to keep up to date," BCS vice-president of education and research Dr Iain Simpson stated.

Stands will be used to showcase products and services ranging from new technology and diagnostic equipment to educational materials.

Exhibition space at the expo is available from £294 plus VAT per square metre and last year''s edition attracted 2,532 cardiovascular healthcare professionals.

Attendees included physicians, physiologists, nurses and scientists involved in the field, while 75 per cent of visitors in 2009 were either consultant or trainee cardiologists.

Businesses, organisations and suppliers that have already confirmed their attendance at the BCS Conference and Exhibition 2010 include 3M Health Care, Bayer Schering Pharma, the British Heart Foundation, Cardiology News, GlaxoSmithKline, Medcon UK, Oxford Biosystems, Randox Laboratories and Vitabiotics.
