The Medtec UK 2010 conference and exhibition is being held in April this year at the Birmingham NEC.
It will take place on the 27th and 28th of the month and will feature
exhibition stands promoting materials, manufacturing technology and expertise for the medical device sector.
As the global population ages, organiser Canon Communications has noted that demand for healthcare is changing and growing, with the manufacture of medical devices increasing by nine per cent per year.
The annual showcase and conference has been running for 16 years and attracts engineers, managers and company owners involved in the design and making of medical technology.

Commenting on the 2009 edition of the show, Distrupol marketing and product manager John Brenchley said: "The increased numbers and quality meeting with existing customers and leads from new customers looking to get into the medical field was amazing."
The 2010 expo will be divided into a number of pavilions with titles such as Medical Packaging, PrecisionTec and Educational Opportunities. Space is available from £265 plus VAT per square metre.
Visitors who register in advance can enter the show for free and the conference held alongside the main exhibition will feature a range of events including regulatory discussions and expert presentations.
